We offer you the opportunity to participate in a fly-in, with an air show that focuses on homebuilt, antique, classic, warbird, ultralight and powered parachute aircraft for general aviation pilots, builders, restorers and the general public.
This year Exxon/Mobile will participate in the joint promotion of the Virginia State EAA Fly-In by among other things, supplying our forum tents with the PA systems.
We expect well over the 400 airplanes we have had participate in the past. Last year we had 608 airplanes fly in for both days.
As in the past, we will have forums, workshops, vendors for the aviation public, a youth tent for hands-on activities with the assistance of NASA, static displays, judging of airplanes with awards, flying of young people under the Young Eagles program, food, flying model airplanes, and much more. Again this year we will have an exciting air show on Saturday and Sunday.
This year the Commissioner of the Revenue of Dinwiddie County is again requiring those vendors that will be exchanging revenue on the airport during the Fly-in, to have a business license of $50. Please contact the Commissioner of the Revenue at the phone number listed on the registration form under Taxes and Fees. The food vendors will be required to obtain the Health Permit and insurance liability policy as per reverse side of registration form.
Please look at our web page for updated activities. We sincerely hope you plan to attend the Virginia State EAA Fly-In. PLEASE RESPOND BY August 1, 2002.
